Jets softball lost a heart breaker in the third of three games Monday against Muskegon's Jayhawks in the NJCAA Region XII District Finals .
The Jets won the first game 4-1, and then lost the second 15-5 to the Jayhawks, prompting the need for a third game. After jumping to 5-0 after two innings, Muskegon came back to tie it up heading in the 7th inning, 7-7. Then in the 8th inning, Muskegon hits a two-out home run to win the game 8-7 in 8 innings.
The Jets finish the season with an 18-5 conference record, 33-15 overall record. They are the NJCAA Region XII District A Runner-Up.
