The Jackson College Jets women's soccer team won their first game of the season Wednesday at home, overtaking the Delta College Pioneers 3-0.

All three of the Jets goals came in the second period. Midfielder Kate McElhone scored at the 63-minute mark, with an assist from midfielder Katie Brown. Forward Kayler Beech scored two, one at the 81-minute mark that was unassisted, and another at the 86-minute mark with an assist from forward Skylar Gilbert. Goalkeeper Katarzynia Polek had three saves on the game and took the win.

The Jets are 1-0 on the season and will travel to Ancilla College in Indiana for a 1 p.m. game Saturday, Aug. 25.
