Women's soccer team travels to New York

The Jackson College women's soccer team traveled to Rochester, New York recently and took on Monroe Community College, the fourth ranked team in the nation.  Along the way they visited Niagara Falls and ate brunch at Magnolia Café, where former President Barack Obama once had a bowl of soup.

While the game results didn't go the Jets' way, the experience not only of the trip but of playing against a perennial national powerhouse were not lost on the players. "It was a lot of fun getting to spend time like that with my teammates. Playing against a team like Monroe was very challenging and showed us we have a lot of hard work to do, if we want to build on the success we've had already this season," said team captain Sydne Everts

Jackson will travel to conference foe Delta College on Friday looking to avenge a tough 0-1 loss earlier this season.  Jackson is currently 4-3 on the year.
