Women's Soccer Players of the Week (Sept. 26 - Oct. 2)

The NJCAA Women's Soccer Players of the Week were announced Wednesday by the NJCAA National Office for all matches played during Week 6 of the season – Sept 26 – Oct. 2.

In Division I, Jackson (Mich.) freshman forward Elaine Burleson received Player of the Week honors after setting a school-record with four goals in a 5-1 win over Ancilla (Ind.). Freshman Emanuely Costa of Iowa Central was named DI Goalie of the Week for her efforts in victories over Iowa Lakes and Hawkeye (Iowa).

Brookhaven (Texas) freshman Brenda Hernandez was tabbed as the DIII Player of the Week for her defensive play against No. 8 Eastfield (Texas) and No. 9 Richland (Texas). With 10 saves and a shutout of No. 3 Genesee (N.Y.), sophomore Alex Zentz of Erie (N.Y.) received the division's goalie award.
