Mick Ream has been an assistant with the Jackson College softball program since 2015. 

Ream recently retired from Dansville High School completing a 34 year career.  During his time at Dansville he also served at the athletic director for 7 years.

Coach Ream was the head softball coach at Dansville High School compiling an overall 545-301 record.  His teams earned 11 league championships, 9 district championships, 3 regional championships, 3 state semi-finals appearances as well as winning the 2012 state championship.  Ream also coached football, boys and girls basketball at Dewitt, Mason and Dansville.

Coach Ream was named district coach of the year 7 times, regional coach of the year 4 times and coaches the All-State softball team in 2012. He played baseball at Lansing Community College.

A graduate of Dansville High School, Mick received both his B.A. and Master’s Degree from Michigan State University.  He is married to his wife Connie and has three children – Kari, Greg and Eric.

 

 

Mick Ream to be Inducted into Hall of Fame

Former Dansville coach, teacher, and administrator Mick Ream inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association.

Mick served as softball coach at Dansville for 34 years amassing 545 wins, 11 league titles, 9 District Championships, 3 Regional Championships, and the 2012 MHSAA Class C State Championship. Mick also won numerous coaching awards including District Coach of the Year seven times, the Sportsmanship Award seven times, Regional Coach of the Year three times, Lansing State Journal Coach of the Year six times, and the All-State All-Star game coach once.
