Jets softball soars with standout season

Softball team

The 2018 Jackson College Jets softball team finished the season District I Runner Up, falling to Lansing Community College in the final game of last week's NJCAA Tournament.

This was the team's most winning season, as the Jets broke previous season records at 33-11 overall. "This group did a tremendous job this year," said Coach Jamie Vandenburgh. "They set a new program record for wins in a season, and we have the most players receive conference honors yet. Each sophomore played in just about every single game… they were the energy of the team, and their contributions were really what made us successful!

"Looking at next year, we have a solid group of freshman returning. The All-Freshman team consist of the nine top-voted freshmen, and we have five in the mix!"
