Cross country teams finish 2nd, 3rd at Firebird Invitational

Jackson College's cross country took second and third-place finishes from the Firebird Invitational on Friday, Oct. 2 in Grayling, hosted by Kirtland Community College.

The men's team finished in second place with 86 points, behind Grand Rapids Community Collee who finished in first with 40 points. Andrew Frohm finished in fourth place overall with a time of 27:53.2 in the 8K. Finishers from the Jets mean's team are:

               13 Tyler Landis 28:46.1

               17 Andy Swihart 28:53.3

               20 Richard Haislip 29:10.9

               38 Tony Duby 30:30.5

               43 Talin Khanna 31:25.7

               46 Jesse Heistan 31:41.3

For the women, the team finished in third place with 70 points, behind Grand Rapids CC with 38 and St. Clair County Community College with 49 points. Madeline Humphreys finished in thrid place overall with a time of 21:22.5 in the 5K.

The Jets' next meet is Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Jayhawk Invitational at University Park, Muskegon.
