New cross country coach signed

Jackson College Jets athletics welcomes Serafin Llerena as men's and women's cross country coach.

Llerena attended Olivet College where he ran track and cross country for four years. He was voted team captain for cross country his junior and senior years. He earned a bachelor's degree in sports and fitness management in 2011. He currently works as athletic director, dean of students and head boys cross country coach for Jackson Preparatory and Early College (JPEC).

"This will be my first collegiate level coaching job, and I am thrilled for the opportunity," he said. "I look forward to being able to coach at Jackson College to continue my career as a coach but, most importantly, to help these student athletes achieve their goals in life."
