Jackson College Jets women's soccer team finished second in the NJCAA Region XII tournament this week, scoring a big win in the first game 4-0 over Lake Michigan College before falling in the championship game to Monroe (NY) Community College, 6-1.
Scoring in the semi-final game were Amy Scruggs with assist from Katelyn Brown, Elena Vazquez unassisted, Renata Cunningham unassisted, and Vazquez with assist from Brown. In the final game, Cunningham scored the lone goal for the Jets. They end the season with 13-6 overall record.
Named to the Region XII All-Tournament team are:
- Skylar Gilbert, Jackson College
- Katarzynia Polek, Jackson College
- Kayler Beech, Jackson College
The Jets men's soccer team fell in the semi-final game of the Region XII tournament Saturday to Ancilla College, 2-1. Muskegon Community College ended up winning the tournament over Ancilla.
