Soccer players collect conference honors
Congratulations to members of the men's and women's soccer teams on their recent season honors.
From the men's soccer team, Nooh Aljabaly (forward from Yemen who graduated from Coldwater High) and Ben VanderRoest (defender from Dexter, graduate of Dexter High) were both named to the First Team All-MCCAA and First Team All-Region XII. Francisco Mosquera (forward from Venezuela who graduated from Allegan High) received an Honorable Mention All-MCCAA and Second Team All-Region XII.
For the women's team, Kayler Beech (forward from Battle Creek who graduated from Pennfield High) was named to the First Team All-MCCAA, All-Freshman Team and All-Region XII First Team. Brooke Valdez (midfielder from Leslie, graduate of Leslie High) and Janae Willis (goal keeper from South Bend, Ind., graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High) received Honorable Mention All-MCCAA and both received All-Region XII Second Team. Beech and Valdez were both named to the Region XI All-Tournament Team.
