Jets men's soccer play hard in opener, end up losing in 2nd overtime

The Jets men's soccer team fought hard in the first round quarterfinal of the 2017 NJCAA Region XII tournament, but fell to Cuyahoga Community College in the second overtime, 1-0 Cuyahoga.

The Cuyahoga Challengers came out strong on offense, with a total of 23 shots for the game, compared to the Jets one. The Challengers had 5 corners kicks, Jets 2. Jackson fought back defensively, with 14 saves for the game.

With no score at the end of regular play, the teams went into two overtime periods. At the 101:24 minute mark, the Challengers' Jacob Rosko scored the game's only goal, with an assist from Johansson Mathe.

The Jets finish the season with a conference record of 3-7, and an overall record of 3-11.
