Jets men’s and women’s bowling on top of MCCAA West

Jets bowling teams are sitting in first place in the MCCAA Western Conference, helped by big wins Friday at the Glen Oaks CC Tournament in Three Rivers.

For the women, Kaylee Hall took the top spot with series, 589 (178, 224, 187), followed by teammate Shelby Miller in second place with a 586 series (224, 173, 189). Morgan Sedlecky also finished in the top 10, taking seventh with a 523 series (160, 213, 150). Lailah Maull finished in 11th with a 505 series (149, 146, 210), Marissa Wood 12th with 503 (193, 158, 152). Rounding out the Jets women, Allison Fagan bowled 486 (158, 186, 142) and Hailey Thornhill 433 (139, 174, 120).

The Jets women finished in first overall with 4,235; Kellogg Community College was second with 3,982.

For the men, the Jet finished in first with four players scoring in the top 10. Collin Baldwin finished in third overall with a 593 series (186, 195, 212), Bradlee Ramsey took fourth with 589 (171, 204, 214), Jack Schultz seventh with 572 (223, 161, 188), and Mason Rutan eighth with 548 (168, 198, 182). Rounding out the Jets men, Toby Tyler had a 517 series (175, 169, 173) and Nathan Sedlecky a 454 series (168, 155, 131).

Bowlers finished first overall with 4,478; Kellogg Community College was second with 3,967.

The Jets will travel to Battle Creek Friday for the Kellogg Community College Invitational at the M-66 Bowl.
