Jets baseball on a streak going into tournament

Jackson College Jets baseball is on a winning streak, and they hope that streak continues into the NJCAA Region XII Division II Baseball Tournament, starting Wednesday in Sandusky, Ohio.

The Jets will face the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Cougars at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in their first game. They have won the last nine games, including a win last week over KVCC in the MCCAA State Championship tournament.

The Jets are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association, four games behind Lansing Community College. The Jets' record is 20-8 in the MCCAA, 31-14 overall. Their opponent, Kalamazoo Valley, is in second place the MCCAA Western Conference, with a conference record of 17-7 and overall record of 22-17.
