JACKSON, MI - Jacob Vanitvelt signed his National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play baseball for the 2014-2015 season today at Jackson College.

During his time at Grand Blanc High School, Vanitvelt was voted MVP of his baseball team and earned 1st team All-Conference.  In addition, Jacob has earned spots on the Academic All-Conference and Academic All-District teams.

When asked about his new player, Jets head coach Rick Smith responded, "Jacob will be a great addition to our offense and defense.  Offensively he brings a great deal to the plate and defensively he has good speed and strength, which allows him to cover a lot of ground. A very solid player and young man is what we look for in our program.  We are very excited that Jacob is coming to Jackson College and look forward to a great year."
