Niagara County Community College remained unbeaten on the young season after a pair of lopsided wins at this past weekend's inaugural NCCC Tip-Off Classic. The Thunderwolves, who moved to 4-0, are next in action at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when they visit Onondaga Community College.
Niagara CCC 113, Jackson College 87
The Thunderwolves built a 16-0 lead just four minutes into the game and never looked back. Sophomore wing Najee Scott led a balanced NCCC effort with 19 points and four steals. Freshman William Kondrat netted 15 points, classmate Nate Luckman had 13 points, first-year forward David Petit-Homme scored 12 and sophomore swingman Fode Camara added 11.
Niagara CCC 149, Pitt-Titusville 80
Scott scored a season-high 27 points as the T-Wolves attempted an eye-catching 116 shots from the field. Camara had 21 points and eight rebounds, while freshman guard Nigel Scantlebury had a career night with 15 points, five assists and five steals. Sophomore Mike Evans added 14 off the bench. NCCC finished with 35 assists and 72 rebounds in the win.
